Richard “Rick” Wyatt, 64, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at Cottage in The Meadow in Yakima, surrounded by his family.
Rick was born January 14th, 1952 to Bud & Corine Wyatt. Rick grew up in the valley until he enlisted in the Navy. He then worked as a heavy equipment operator, traveling with work until he retired in 1986.
Rick married the love of his life, Linda, in 1987 and raised three beautiful children. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and going for drives in the mountains. Rick also enjoyed going and shooting the breeze with his friends at the American Legion.
Rick is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Lisa Krueger, granddaughters (Dakota, Sophia and Hannah); sons, Richard (Melissa) Wyatt, grandsons (Lane, Liam and Camron), Jeremy Wyatt, granddaughter (Kiley); Stephen Wyatt, grandchildren (Brooke, Emily and Asa) and Shannon Wyatt; sisters, Nancy Cawley and Marcy Reiter Watkins. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Alicia and sister Mary.
The family wants to give a special thank you to all the loving and caring staff at Cottage in The Meadow.
A memorial/celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Rick’s B-Day, January 14th at the American Legion, 1120 N. 34th Ave., Yakima. Arrangements are by Rainier Memorial Center of Yakima.
