Donna Secondo

Donna L. Secondo, 86 of Tieton, WA, was born on 9-4-1931 in Emmett, Idaho to Bill and Viola Marvin and went into the arms of the Lord on 10-6-2017 surrounded by her loved ones.

Donna graduated from Highland High School in 1949, the first graduating class of the new Highland High School. She worked for Providence Hospital and retired in 1995. She then worked for Farmers Insurance and retired in 2001. She, along with her husband, enjoyed building floats for Highland and met many good friends.

Donna married John Secondo, Sr., on 11-24-1951 at St. Paul Cathedral. Before John’s death they spent 60 years together. She and John had six children who were raised on an apple orchard in the Cowiche-Tieton area.

She is survived by her daughters Karen Secondo, Teri Jones, Suzanne Fisher and Lisa Secondo Fitchett (John). She is also survived by her sister Charlene R. Bateman, and her brother Larry N. Marvin (Linda), 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Secondo, Sr. in 2012 and her daughter Kathy A. West in 2001, her parents Viola and Bill Marvin and her sister Vera Dean Marvin.

We would like to thank Good Samaritan Nursing Home for their wonderful care and support of the family. We would also like to thank Eduardo Hernandez and the Silva families for being so good to our mother.

At her request there will be a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Highland Fire and Rescue. Arrangements are by Rainier Memorial Center of Yakima, (509) 453-9371.
