Thomas William Crouch passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Selah Convalescent after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 79 years old. He was born August 5, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA to Aaron and Marjorie Crouch.
In 1958, he married Kathryn Brazzil and had four children. In 1968 Tom moved his family to Selah, WA, after being transferred to the Yakima Longview Fiber Plant. He worked mainly in the agriculture industry and retired from Tree Top in Selah.
In 1975, he married Judy Pettyjohn and gained two step children.
Tom was an avid animal lover. As a young man, he even had a Hawk, Eagle and an owl that he took care of and trained. One of Tom’s favorite hobbies was fishing. Tom & Judy were active in the Yakima Salmon & Steelhead Trout Unlimited Club. Tom also loved dogs throughout his life and enjoyed raising, training and showing dogs.
Thomas is survived by one brother, Denny Crouch of Los Angeles; daughter, Denise Bishop (Bryce) of Lincoln City, OR; son, Tom Crouch (Jennifer) of Yakima; son, Darin Crouch of Yakima; daughter, Shelley Cyr (Roy) of Selah; step-son, Wayne Pettyjohn (Kelli) of Selah; step-daughter, Sharra Dawn “Mickey” of Akron; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jimmy and a great grandchild Brody Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday December 1, 2017 at West Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Rainier Memorial Center of Yakima.
