Shirley Mae Odom was born in Los Angeles, California on March 7, 1929 to Conrad and Marguerite (Therien) Ditter.
She was raised by her grandmother. She graduated high school and went to work for Ma Bell Phone Company. She met the love of her life Robert Odom and married August 11, 1951.
After moving to northern California to a farm and raising their two sons, they moved to Washington where they traveled around racing thoroughbred horses, finally settling in Yakima, Washington.
She is survived by her sons Michael (Jan) Odom of Spokane, Washington and Mathew (Catherine) Odom of Yakima, Washington, along with six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded by all her friends, her husband and parents.
