Frank Archer, 81, passed away January 27, 2018, at Cottage in the Meadow in Yakima. He was born January 21, 1937 in Ava, Missouri to Frank and Bertha Archer, the family later moved to Selah in 1944.
He met his wife Esther, they married in 1955 and welcomed their son Victor 2 years later. Frank worked at Pacific Fruit, Hop-Con and later moved to Sunnyside in 1977 where he worked at the VandeGraaf Ranches until he retired after 30 years. Frank and his wife later returned to Union Gap to enjoy retirement in their first home.
Frank was a simple man who loved his horses, bird hunting with his golden retrievers, fishing and working on cars. He was a team roping header in the IFCA.
He is survived by his, wife of 62 years, Esther Archer, son, Victor Archer, and one very special granddaughter, Jessica Archer. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Archer, sisters, Wanda Hull and Aileen Quinn, sister in law Judy Johnson, many nieces and nephews, and faithful dog Tobi.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lonny, Norman, Etcyl, Wayne, and Marvin, and sisters, Maxine, Jackie, and Patty.
A Memorial will be held February 17, 2 pm at CrossPoint Church located at 7803 Ahtanum Rd., Yakima, WA.
