Wade Hull, 85 of Moxee passed away peacefully at the Cottage In the Meadow in Yakima, WA on July 11, 2018. He was born in a log cabin in Bruner, MO on August 24, 1932 to Otie and Violet Hull. Wade had ten brothers and sisters.
At age 16, Wade moved to Selah, WA. In 1950, he married Linah Upson. He recently said that this day was the fondest memory of his life and that he knew he had found a good woman. Wade and Linah made their home in Selah and later moved to Moxee.
Wade was a sheet metal worker and welder. He retired from the Pepsi Cola Sign Shop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising animals on his small farm, breeding and training his hound dogs to hunt, gardening, foraging and yard sales. He was strong, hard-working and resourceful. He taught his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren many valuable lessons over the years. We will all miss him very much.
Wade is survived by his four children, Larry (Carla) Hull, Donna (Butch) McIntosh, Carmen (Rod) Matson and Peggy (Dan) Kihn, 13-grandchildren, 30-great grandchildren & 6-great great grandchildren along with his sister, Huba Winslow, brother John Hull, numerous nephews and nieces, extended family and special friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linah, his grandchildren, Armando, Steven and Renee and eight of his siblings.
The family wishes to express our gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Cottage In the Meadow for their compassionate care in Wade’s final hours, along with his grandson Mike and granddaughter Angie for all of time and loving care they provided for him in his final days.
A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the home of Carmen & Rod Matson at 2:00 p.m. Please bring a potluck dish to share. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Cottage in the Meadow in Wade’s memory.
