Garry Lee Beaty at the age of 74 went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA.
The oldest of four children, Garry was born on July 4, 1950 to Lawrence and Mildred (Corley) Beaty in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At age six Garry's family moved to Yakima, Washington.
Garry enlisted in the Coast Guard on April 1, 1968 at age seventeen. He spent one year of isolated duty on Attu Island, Alaska. He then went to LaPush, Washington for the last year of his duty stationed at the lighthouse.
After he was discharged from the Coast Guard, he worked as a truck driver and retired from LTI trucking two years ago.
He loved to fish, hunt and water ski and his family was everything to him, but the Lord Jesus was his passion and his reason for being.
His legacy is the people he touched with the word of God and the lives he touched by opening our home to many people who just needed a helping hand.
Garry is survived by his wife of 53 years Janice (Fleming) Beaty, four children Amy and Alex Sousie, April Beaty, Amber and John Creamer and Adam Beaty. Fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Four siblings Larry Beaty spouse Kathy, Kathleen McFarlin and Tom Beaty. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Douglas Beaty and Reese Cameron (Beaty).
Celebration of life was held at Heights Church in Yakima, Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at 11am. We appreciate all the love and support we have received from Heights Church and Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Our family is also grateful for all the prayers from family and friends and everyone who provided food, love, and support during this difficult time.
